Sending Joy

It’s hard to see the sun through the black rolling clouds that so often block our vision.  It is difficult to feel the joy through the heavy sadness and the anger and divisiveness in the world.  It seems impossible that there are miracles behind the pain and light on the other side of all the suffering. Can deep abiding peace really exist beyond the judgment, the violence and the insanity of this crazy world?

How can oneness be real when we see bodies acting out and doing hurtful things to other bodies? How can God be here when children are terminally ill and parents die before their kids are grown? When almost every day hurricanes and floods destroy lives and homes? And wars are waged around the world? How are we to see that what God says is true, “This world is full of miracles”?

We can’t change the world on our own, but we must trust that God’s Word is true no matter how it looks. No matter how it feels.  No matter how it sounds. No matter how unceasingly we are bombarded with chaos and catastrophe everywhere we look. Instead of wallowing in the pain and suffering, we must take God’s hand and stand in the strength of our own holiness and walk through the dark clouds and the screams of pain knowing there is a Higher Power that we’re simply not listening to; a Power that we are overlooking in favor of insanity and suffering.

We must believe that God is not causing the pain and suffering, but is quietly and in perfect stillness shining His constant light through our minds so we can see that He is really here. And He is the Truth.  Not the human, wounded world, but God. Let the tears flow.  Let the hearts break. Let the pain wrap around us. Let the fears build walls before us. Just be quiet and let the world be. On our knees in prayer just let it all be.  Breathe and let it be.

If we look we can see that everywhere where there is suffering, there are millions of kind souls lending a hand and lifting up those who have fallen. Prayers are running rampant through the world and those prayers are being heard. Yours and mine and ours. These are the silent miracles …

Let us stand with God in the Light of our own Truth. If we do this long enough, we will see that God is real and the rest is false. Let us pray, “Let every voice but God’s be still in me.”

If we will stand back and let God lead the way then He will gently dry our tears and heal our hearts. Let us allow God to knock down the walls of fear and soon we will see what we didn’t see before. ”This world is full of miracles.  They stand in shining silence next to every dream of pain and suffering …”

Prayers for all those who may be experiencing extreme weather conditions, hurricanes and tsunamis, fires or floods anywhere in this world.  Also blizzards and extreme cold. Our loving thoughts are with you. May God keep you safe and transform the extremes into harmony and balance. 

Let our prayer be for healing and health for all the world. Let us ask for help with kindness and love and trust to generate the health and wellness, safety and peace of mind we want for every man, woman and child on earth. And then let us be grateful and say Thank You, God!
