Sending Joy

“I will decide for gentle joy today.”

If we want to know how little we really trust God, we just need to look at the world around us.  If we really believed in Him and trusted Him as we should, that energy would bring a different world into our experience. 

The world we see offers little that we want.  Let’s look around and see how insane it is to believe in a world of disease, danger, divisiveness, and death.  

A world where one child of God can appear to overpower another with his will. And where the other child of God appears to be the victim. Where is the gentleness in this?

A world where bad things happen to good people.  A world where children are at risk and answers are seen in violence. Where is the gentleness now?

A world where war seems like a solution and suffering is everywhere. A world where nature is so out of balance that it threatens the entire planet.  This world needs something new. It needs gentleness; God’s gentleness and our own.

This is not God’s world, this is human’s world.  Even if humans say a thing is God’s will, if there is anything but pure and gentle Love and Joy involved, IT IS NOT GOD’S WILL. 

It’s time to stop denying the truth and turn to God instead. It’s time to ask for help in seeing God’s World through this world. God’s world is here now. We get glimpses, but it seldom lasts. Only for the truly gentle can God’s world be experienced consistently. To hear God is not a matter of fighting the crazy ego thinking; it’s simply a matter of being still and going inward with the gentle trust of open minds and hearts and knowing there is something better. If we look, without judgment or attachment, at the insane thoughts that rule our lives and then quietly let them pass on by while we return to our peaceful core where God lives, it wouldn’t be long before we would realize that being happy is nothing more than a gentle choice.

Then we can see that anger, violence, sadness and pain are simply cries for help. And gentleness is the Truth of us. “To everyone I offer gentleness.” A Course In Miracles

Gentleness is often equated with weakness. But instead it is a powerful force, a gift from God that allows us to see the world anew and to experience a joy filled life and a holy, healed world.

Let our prayer be for healing and health and safety for all the world. Let us ask for help with kindness and love and trust to generate the health and wellness, safety and peace of mind we want for every man, woman and child on earth. And then let us be grateful and say Thank You, God!
