Sending Joy

It is impossible to judge kindly or to attack gently. Or to feel victimized when our heart is open and compassionate. Instead of being a victim of our brothers’ and sisters’ words and actions, we understand they are showing us their pain. They need our peaceful protests and our prayers. God can deal with those things that are beyond our power to control if we lay our problems at His feet. In the meantime because of our decision to be a channel for change, we are held in the mighty Hand and Heart of God perfectly safe and totally at peace.

With our hand on our heart let us silently remember …

Kindness is connecting. Forgiveness is freeing. Gratitude is grace-filled.

Helpfulness is holy. Love is Light. God is Glorious.

Now we can forgive.  Now we can accept and feel compassion for those who think, look and live differently from us. Now we can see that those who act out in anger and fear are merely crying out for harmony and balance. They’ve lost it and they don’t know where to find it. And that’s a terrifying thing.  But we know where it is.

We find it within in the still and quiet place where God lives in each one of us. And we can use this new understanding to help those who don’t yet know what we know. Instead of reacting in kind to those who seem to be attacking us, let’s grow still and calm and ask God to help us help them.  Our prayer is, “God, let me be a channel for peace today. Let our prayer be for healing and health and safety for all the world. Let us ask for help with kindness and love and trust to generate the health and wellness, safety and peace of mind we want for every man, woman and child on earth.
