“I will use my free will for good today.”

Free Will is a powerful gift.
Free Will needs to be used with care.

Free Will means we can carry fear and guilt and sadness and anger if we want.
Free Will means we can surrender them to God and watch them disappear.

Free Will means we can judge others harshly and dash our own joy.
Free Will means we can be kind to all and see miracles all around.

Free Will means we can close our fists to others and have a life of scarcity. 
Free Will means we can share generously and experience great abundance.

Free Will means we can hate and fear those who are different and keep our minds at war.
Free Will means we can open our minds to all and rest our hearts in peace.

Free Will means we can keep our expectations small and dark with fear.
Free Will means we can see our holy truth and soar happily with Angels.

Free Will means we can live a life of misery and suffering.
Free Will means we can live a life of joyous wonder.

Free Will is a powerful gift 
… and a great responsibility.

“Anything that comes from Love is a Miracle.” A Course In Miracles

Envision a life of health, safety, happiness, peace, harmony, abundance and pure joy.

Imagine miracles piling up around us and shared with everyone. To share a miracle is to increase it. Miracles cannot be hoarded or experienced alone. They must be extended to everyone without exclusion in order to be ours. A miracle is anything that comes from love. Everything that is shared grows in magnitude and holiness. 

You know everything you need to know to make this happen. Don’t concern yourself with what you don’t know.  Just remember, “I know all I need to know to experience miracles.” This is God’s promise.  Place your trust in His promise and you can’t go wrong.

Now, let’s let go of our tiny, angry, sad, victim, judgment thoughts.  And live in Oneness as we were created knowing that the Loving Power of God lives in us and so we can naturally and easily be a channel for miracles. It’s simple.  Just smile and breathe and accept and enjoy! 

Wow!  Isn’t it beautiful here in the Land of Oneness? God calls it Heaven and it exists right here on earth; right inside each calm and quiet mind. It’s called miracle mindedness.

“I will open my heart to Light’s  presence today.”

Yesterday the storm, today the sun. The weather is much like life. We weather the storms and bask in the sun. The storms help us grow as much as the sun. It seems we need both to become who we are meant to be. In this sense all is good for every experience contributes something to our progress. Together, let us celebrate both the storms and the sun filled moments knowing that all is for a higher purpose.

When it rains, let’s let joy be our umbrella. When it snows God’s comfort is our warm scarf. Let us sparkle under the warmth of the sun and rest in the shade of the oak tree. Let’s splash in the puddles during a storm and remember, “this too shall pass.” On the other side of darkness we will always find the light of morning. And if we can’t see the light at this moment, we can quietly open our hearts to its presence and before long it will show itself.  Perhaps not in the way we expected, but better.

God does not require sacrifice for God is only Love.

God does not allow disasters, but He is here with us to enfold us in His Loving Arms and to comfort us and to lift us to higher levels than we ever knew existed.  He places us in the arms of His Angels for healing and protection.

Whatever we are going through, let’s give it to God and pray this prayer, “Please help me.” Than grow still and breathe quietly while we wait and see what develops when we let God be in charge of our lives.

“Today we practice letting go all thought of values we have given to the world. But free our wings and we will fly in sureness and in joy to join our holy purpose.” A Course In Miracles

Now we are choosing a new way of living, a new way of being and we are joining with the power of Angels as we fly above a world of pain and disaster and into another world of freedom and love and joy.  This does not require that we leave our bodies or this world.  It only requires that we change our minds about how we see this body and this world. As we choose another way of seeing and another way of being we allow a Loving Force more powerful than bodies and the human world to be in charge of all things for us.  It’s time to fly!

The opposite of separation is oneness.

The opposite of fear is love.

The opposite of anger is forgiveness.

In your mind, take the hand of someone who upsets you, and smile into his/her eyes. Whisper gently, “I forgive you.”

Then, again silently, take your own hand and smile into your heart. Whisper gently, “I forgive you.”

Remember, the same light lives in each one of us.

The same fears plague us.

As we plant our flowers and put out our flower-filled pots we should ask why are we doing this? Is it because we love beauty? Is it because it makes us feel good?  Makes us hopeful no matter what is happening in our lives? Is it because we are ready to focus on something light and joyous and wonderful?  

Why is the beauty of flowers so enticing and so important to us? Is it because we somehow know that there is a place of beauty inside us and flowers help us to remember our truth? They fill our world with color and invite hummingbirds and butterflies and other delightful creatures into our lives. And it’s something we can control to make our lives a little more heavenly, and little more lovely in a way that is simple and yet powerful.

A garden is a miracle filled world of wonder that we can enjoy right here and right now with just a little effort and a conscious choice. Watering our gardens and dead-heading our flowers are chores we do with love to keep the beauty and wonder alive. The beauty and wonder that lives in us is reflected in our gardens. And in our loving relationships.

Our calm and loving thoughts nourish our hearts and minds just as water and sunlight and healthy soil nourish our flowers.  Why would we want to suffer when our lives can be filled with beauty and joy? As we enjoy the experiences caused by our beautiful flowers and our beautiful thoughts, we naturally share them with others with no effort on our part.

Now we can smile with gratitude at the beauty of the miracle of our heart’s garden.

“I will bask in my own light today.”

Can you see it?  It’s the light of your own being joined with all the other lights of everyone around you, and then joined again with every light throughout the world.  Bask in the light.  Feel the warmth of all that love flood your being.  Breathe it in like the freshest, cleanest air, then breathe it out and feel all the tension leave your body.  Breathe it in and out again.  And again.  And again. Watch fear swirl harmlessly and fade into the light. Fear is darkness and darkness cannot survive in light. 

Play in the light, skip and hop and be just plain silly while the light shines on you and pours from you.  Join hands with other lights and lead them in a dance of perfect happiness, totally uninhibited, filled with sheer delight.  Dance as one to the music of the rhythm of life; the song of grateful joy. Shout, Hooray! knowing that this moment of deep happiness, safety and well being is all there really is and it is yours and everyone’s.  Not only is it yours, but it is YOU! Pure and simple.

It is important that we face our fear thoughts. Once we understand our power for unhappiness is ours, we can begin to understand that our power for happiness is our choice as well.

Our decision to value our hurts and fears from the past blocks God’s Light and keeps us from our miracles. If we doubt that we are valuing our hurts and fears, we only need to listen to ourselves. What stories are we telling the world? What pain and anger and suffering are we still clinging to from yesterday and from years ago?

Instead of judgment we must want forgiveness. Instead of hopelessness we must want joy. Only our self-imposed barriers to God’s Love block His Answers and His Healing.  We need do nothing but simply be willing to be happy and God will do the rest. In order to be open to His Voice, we must be willing to change our life’s story from one of a sad and sorry past to one of hope and trust in each moment – beginning now.

It is the power of God within us that gives us the confidence and the opportunity to understand that we are so much more than our fears. If we take His hand, He will lead us gently from the darkness that we have made and into the Light that He has Created as our Holy Truth.  Now, we can forgive the past, let go of our anxiety about the future and rest in the light of this holy moment with Him. Through forgiveness and surrender we are opening for ourselves a channel of pure Love. It is from this point of Love, this Divine Love within our own mind, where true and permanent healing originates and from there that we must make our resolutions for change.

And now we walk through the world, an instrument of peace and a teacher of joy. Now we are ready to learn to be a healed healer and we can bring peace and health and happiness with us everywhere we go.

“I don’t know what this or anything is for.” A Course In Miracles

“I will take a step toward freedom today.”

Feelings are just feelings. We mustn’t be afraid to look at them.  Remember the old saying, “…there is nothing to fear, but fear itself.” It’s really true.

Fear is not a premonition.

Anxiety is not a sign of bad things to come. 

Depression doesn’t mean the world is coming to an end. 

These feelings only mean we’re afraid or sad or angry. These are just feelings. They don’t own us, but it is time for us to recognize that instead, we need to own them. The most powerful antidote is simply looking and seeing the feelings as something apart from us and not actually who we are.  The thought that “… this is just who I am” is based upon a false premise.  It is not who we are. It is what we perceive as our reality. Our perceptions are not the truth of us nor are they the truth of others. We have the right to believe in fear instead of Love, but is that what we really want to manifest into our life?

If the answer is no, let’s take a step toward freedom together and repeat in our minds a thousand times and then a thousand more. “I am as God created me.”  A Course In Miracles And do this until we believe, not in our limited and limiting perceptions but in God’s Holy Truth.

“I have the power of happiness within me.”

There are two aspects of us in this world. The aspect of the ego in which we live in fear and darkness.  And the aspect of the spirit in which all is light and wondrous and perfect. The aspect of the ego is minute, like a drop in the ocean and the aspect of the spirit is the ocean. Instead of seeing the drop becoming one with the ocean, we spend our days trying to force the ocean inside the drop.  See how uncomfortable and painful that is to live in such an unnatural state.  And yet we all do it.  We see the drop as our life and the ocean not at all. Or as a figment of our imagination, or an unattainable dream. If we only knew how bizarre that is, we would have to laugh at ourselves and our limited perceptions.   

The fact is that the only thing that is real is God (The Ocean) and He is pure Love. And we, as His blessed drops are created whole and perfect in His image. Thankfully God offers a way out of our backward, twisted thinking by allowing His presence to be in all things. That means that we can choose to see everything through the eyes of God’s Love if we wish and we can do this at any moment. 

Let us affirm ourselves:

“I have the power of happiness within me.  
I am willing to choose it now.”

 “I am a powerful, loving and perfect being. 
The fact that I have forgotten this cannot change it.”

“I am a beautiful, sacred and holy creation of a loving God and nothing else.”

“I am grateful to know I am a blessed drop in the Holy Ocean of God’s unlimited Love.”

“I am open to new life and new beginnings today.”

The symbols for spring are new life and new beginnings. In God we are given opportunities for new life and new beginnings every time we make a choice.  Every time we choose to judge someone, that is a new beginning for an outcome that we may not want.  Every time we choose to forgive someone that is a new beginning that will bring us peace. Whatever we choose for another is what we choose for ourselves. That’s how oneness works. 

We and our brothers and sisters are one, connected by God’s Loving Energy.  We cannot affect someone else without affecting ourselves.  It isn’t God’s choice that makes this dynamic work, it’s ours.  God simply IS.  We choose whether we align with His Love or ego’s fear.  Like daylight savings, we can spring ahead toward our most loving self, or we can fall back into the old patterns of fear thinking.

As we watch the daffodils and tulips push up from the cold, hard earth, and tiny leaf buds open on the trees, let’s allow ourselves to be reminded that we too can push through the hard old thinking and open to new life and new beginnings by simply choosing God in everything we think and say and do.

Our prayer would be: “God, what would you have me think and say and do here?” And then we quiet our thoughts and wait for our answer.  God always answers. We need only listen and trust Him to answer and our new life will begin.

Let’s think of all the ways we keep our fears close,
Protecting them and worshipping them
As we fan the flames of pain and suffering
And keep alive all that we do not really want.

Where is Heaven now?

Being groundless our fears cannot attach themselves to 
Anyone or anything unless we choose to allow it.
Fear attached to nothing is harmless and will
Soon disappear into the nothingness from which it came.

Without fear’s darkness, we will see with clarity
God’s Holy Smile as it radiates throughout the world.
And we will know without a doubt that
The Promised Land has come and all is healed.

Let’s simply lay fear down
At the feet of He, Who tells us 
In Clear and Loving terms

Many of us speak of changing our mind as something negative. We call it flip flopping. We call it wishy washy. We call it weak.  We couldn’t be more mistaken.

To change our mind is to allow sanity to replace insanity. 
To change our mind is to let go of stubborn misperceptions.
To change our mind is to allow growth.
To change our mind is to let healing happen.

We cannot grow unless we are willing to change our mind.

The only way to change the world
Is to change our mind about the world.

That is powerful.

There is great courage and strength in the willingness to recognize we have been mistaken and then to change our mind. And God will help us do it.

It’s imperative that we understand who and what we are if we are to be open to our own health and happiness.  If we think we are victims of an insane and unpredictable world, we need to think again.  It is our thoughts that bring us peace or keep us tied to fear’s dark pain. Our thoughts are as powerful as God.  This is because we are the thoughts of God. Each and every one without exclusion is a thought in the Mind of God.  And God is Love.  And God is gentleness.  And God is all there is.

Be Love.
Be Peace.
Be Joy.
