“I am misting my life with Love today.”

As we would mist a precious plant, let us mist the space before us with the holy Love that lives within us and then we will walk through it with the divinity of Angels. As we do this, we can see through the light of our inner vision that our thoughts are lifted from fear and darkness into light and replaced with healing. 

Now, let us stay here today, leaving all doubt behind and knowing that no matter how it looks or how it feels, God’s in charge and guiding us on our perfect path.  If we leave the path for a time, we need only take God’s hand and He will bring us back to Him. It’s all about surrendering our life to God and then trusting that He is really here working only for our good. In this way we are misting our lives with Love today. And  the essence of peace and calm will follow us everywhere we go. And we will learn from our mistakes.

Now, let us mist the world and all our brothers and sisters with this same love knowing we are One. Let’s allow divisiveness and dissension to be transformed into gratitude and love for every man, woman and child as we remember we have a greater purpose.  That purpose is healing. That purpose is remembering the truth. We are all God’s glorious creations.

If someone seems unloveable, love them more.

If someone speaks another language, understand them deeper.

If someone worships another religion, respect their right to know God in their own way.

If someone seems different, know in their heart they are the same.

If someone looks hungry, offer to feed them.

If someone is afraid, comfort them.

If someone is sick, pray for them.

If someone is lonely, befriend them.

If someone seems angry, bless them.

If you are afraid, sick, hungry, lonely or angry, reach out for help.

Don’t act out, reach out.

Reach out and find God’s loving arms reaching back and providing all the help you need.  

Hope lives in simple thoughts and kind acts. Hope lives in knowing you can ask for help and God provides it.  When you help another, you help yourself.

“Peace lives and breathes in me.”

Go within with quiet breath and envision a place, a space where peace lives inside you.  A place in nature is always helpful. A smile forms easily as you breathe in the scent of woods and hear the quiet bubbling of a brook as it meanders past you. Smell the pungency of pine and feel a quiet breeze gently fanning your face. Hear the sound of birds calling to each other through the trees.

Or hear the ocean’s waves wax and wane. Smell the salty air. Hear the sea gull’s cry. It’s lovely in this world you envision. It can be anywhere, in a garden or out your window on a moonlit, starry night. This is your world, your haven and your heaven and it lives right inside your mind. 

Keep it with you as you go about your day. Lift it out to look at and feel the calming effects of it whenever you need a restful, healing moment.  In this way you bless yourself and everyone around.  For as you calm your own thoughts, your peace filled energy and your contagious joy will be felt and shared by all. Now are you fulfilling your purpose in the world as an instrument of love and peace, forgiveness and healing. If you wonder why you’re here, this is why.

“I could see peace instead of this.” A Course In Miracles

“Help me answer all my fear-filled thoughts with peace.”

Fear speaks first.  That’s why the world seems so insane. Fear’s voice is easily recognized. It sounds like an unhappy three year old as it tantrums its way into our minds distracting us with raucous shrieks until we give it all of our attention.  Or it surges through us like an insidious and silent swirl of muddy feelings and fills our hearts and every aspect of our being with dark dread.

Fear separates us and divides us and makes us think there is a them and us. It brings hate into our minds and hearts and pushes Love away. Fear is the reason we cannot find peace. Fear hides our light behind a black cloud of nothingness we believe in so strongly that we have forgotten who we are. God cannot be found in fear, not because of Him, but because of us. We close our eyes and ears and minds and hearts and worship fear instead of Love.

When we finally choose to take a breath, calm our mind, smile into our heart and surrender these intolerable emotions, sweet and gentle Peace, who has been waiting in the wings is allowed to flow free. And our minds and hearts are filled with quiet joy.

The insanity is interrupted and Love becomes the power in which we function. While fear just disappears. And we see what deep inside ourselves, we have known all along, God speaks our Truth, Love is real and fear is nothing at all. And the light dawns once more. The world is at peace and health and safety are as natural as breathing.

Let’s stand together on the top of the mountain and look down on the world. Not as a small insignificant being, but as the mountain itself. From this vantage point we can almost see what God sees, ourselves as majestic beings and holy creations of a power so lofty that we cannot even imagine it. And yet it is the truth of us.

Even the seeming most lowly of us is the most high. From here, our beauty takes our breath away. Our power to give and receive love is beyond awesome.

In God’s eyes we are a thing of wonder. And when we join forces from this place of truth we cannot be stopped.

Like the ocean, we move with constant power, never ceasing, in a rhythm as one. Like the mountain we stand tall and strong. Like the brightest star we shine forever. We brighten heaven and bring our heavenly light into the world. Or more accurately, we lift the world up to join with us in our heavenly light. This world needs our light and love and joy, just as each flower and tree needs sun and water.

If we’re feeling unhappy, we can do something kind for someone else. 

Think a kind thought.  Perform a kind act. Kindness is the only medicine we need for our perfect healing.

Kindness transcends and transforms fear into love.

Kindness is contagious and returns itself to us.

As we lovingly give and serve, 
We will see unhappiness transformed 
Into a warmth of blessed gratitude and joy.

“I will let God conduct the train that is my life.”

Fear is letting the ego lead us on a journey toward a train wreck.  And then another and another. So why go there? There is another train, you know. Another depot. And another Conductor.

But how can I trust in God when people get sick and even die? When I lost my job and people are living on the streets? How can I trust God in a world that is so divisive and angry and where the color of a person’s skin and/or their gender identity determines their worth? Where children and teachers are being shot in their schools? How can I believe He’s here when my relationship is on the rocks?  When I’ve lost a loved one? When the news is disastrous every day?  

To know that we have the power to be at peace no matter how the world looks to us brings us hope and lifts our spirits. And to know that we have God’s loving guidance to help us along the way is also empowering.  We know we are never alone, right? Or do we sometimes forget? In some circumstances it simply doesn’t seem possible that God can be conducting this moment. Or that person. Or that experience.

What if we understood that fear is not our reality? Think of the power in that single thought. Now let’s say this together; “If it feels like fear in any form, it simply isn’t real.”  We have stated before that only God is real and God is all there is and He is only Love.  Therefore, if we are experiencing anything other than Love we must be making a mistake. We’ve gotten off the track of God’s intention for us, pure and simple.  So let’s lay our fears before His feet and rest our mind in His.  This takes a leap of faith. After all much of the time it feels as though that train which is our life, is not only off the track, but heading toward a cliff!

What we cannot see is that when the fear train rushes over a cliff, our Holy Conductor becomes a Pilot. And now the train is a plane!  God does not cause disasters, pain or suffering but He carries us beyond them and shows us how to transform a mess into a miracle. Through kindness, forgiveness, tolerance, open mindedness and our willingness to be God’s Holy Channel for healing in a sick and tired world made by fear and hate and now transformed by Love.

“I am breathing in calm and quiet healing today.”

Think with slow breaths: I am breathing in calm. I am breathing out healing. I am breathing in quiet. I am breathing out love. 

We will continue this until we are centered and balanced and in harmony with all of nature and our brothers and sisters as well. 

We must accept our oneness without fear knowing that God’s laws are governing and correcting every experience, every thought, word and deed. No matter how it looks in the world, we must continue to choose harmony and balance and oneness for ourselves and for everyone in order to be true instruments of healing. 

Let us not fear prophecies or thoughts of destruction, doom and gloom for a horrendous future for the world.  Let us not believe a virus is more powerful than God. Instead, let’s remember Him and know this too shall pass.  

Love is more powerful than fear and Love will prevail.  Everyone who fears also has many great moments of forgiveness, love, kindness and all that is right and good and helpful and healing.  It is these moments that are kept and all the rest is swept away in the face of God’s Love and God’s laws that are unchanging and eternal.

Now are we feeling balanced and in harmony, calm and at peace within ourselves and with all the world. And now we can be truly helpful here.

This moment is our day of grace.

“It is through our relationships we will be healed.” A Course In Miracles

“I will focus on forgiveness today.”

Envision one person in your life whom you adore.  Now envision one person in your life who causes you grief or disturbs your peace in any way. What if you were told that there is no difference between these people. They both offer you lessons toward your peace, one just more gently than the other. It is the one who is the bigger challenge to you who is your greatest teacher and from whom you will learn the most.  In this sense you should be most grateful for him/her for this one will lead you toward your peace much more quickly than the other because they will more forcefully teach you all the blocks to your peace so you can forgive and surrender them and thereby find your peace.

Now envision yourself as one with the easy person. Lift this person and yourself up to the Divine Universe. See your spirits join and blend one into the other. See a beautiful light surround you both and fill you with a sense of oneness.  Feel your love for each other strengthen as all your judgments fade and your differences begin to heal. Accept that it’s okay to agree to disagree and watch as any tension and any fears in this relationship dissolve and disappear. Now there is no separation between you and all that’s left is light. And in that light lives trust. That is true forgiveness.

Now envision yourself at one with the difficult person and do the same exercise. Not so easy? Yet when you can do this, your world will change and you will never know another moment’s fear. And your difficult relationship will be transformed. That is true forgiveness. 

If this person’s fears and challenges are too difficult to surmount, you may have to set boundaries. If that’s the case, do so gently, lovingly and with Divine guidance. Put the relationship in God’s Hands and set yourself free.

“I am entrusted with the gifts of God.” A Course In Miracles

We are as gentle as a breeze and as powerful as God Himself. And yet we hide our loftiness behind petty grievances; behind dark thoughts unworthy of such holy creations. We hide our Light under a bushel and forget about it for lifetimes as we allow fear to guide us instead of Truth. It’s unimaginable. And yet it’s how most of us live from day to day. And have for generations.

We think believing in our loftiness is egocentric. We think living our Truth is false. And yet the opposite is true. Living in smallness and in fear is what is false and unworthy of a Child of God. Living in the Light of God’s Love is where we belong and who we are.

When will we learn? When will we allow our light to shine and be shared? When will we claim our inheritance, our power and our truth? When will we allow Love to be our guiding force? When will we stand on the mountain top and smile kindly upon our unworthy thoughts and let them flutter away in the gentle breeze of our holiness and claim our place as creations of a glorious God Who loves us and only wants us to see and live the simple truth? We are holy. We are beauty. We are innocence. We are truth. We are one.

When? How about now?

“I will fly on holy wings of joy and glory today.”

When we look at ourselves in the mirror of our mind, what do we see? The caterpillar? Or the butterfly? Do we wrap and trap ourselves into a tight cocoon, seeing only darkness, differences and hearing cries of self righteous anger and of pain? Is this darkness filled with confusion, doubt and fear? Or is it a quiet place where we can rest our spirit as we prepare to allow our grace and glory to burst forth?

In time our caterpillar vision must expand. With this evolvement there may come some pain. Although it needn’t be. Let us allow the cocoon in which we’ve wrapped ourselves to split open. Let us emerge a thing of beauty that flies free on wings of glory. Let us delight the world with our presence and bring hope and light and joy to all who come before us.

Only if we allow it, can we see God’s Light as it shines His Love upon the truth of us reminding us that we are His Holy Butterflies, flying freely and of many different colors. Only if we let Him can He help us heal our fear and sadness, trading in the silent loneliness of separation and suffering for a pure and perfect healing. Only with our permission can He show us that peace is already ours and the only thing that we can keep as well as share is Love. Wrapped in the Loving Light of God, sip the sweetness of the nectar of life. Know the truth about yourself; you are, without exception, His glorious creation, holy, whole and healed. Trust in Him to guide you through relationships and moments, smooth and rough. See all your cares as but cocoons filled with hidden joy, ready to burst forth, a thing of beauty in the light of day.

We must understand that we can most fully help others when we know ourselves.  Let us see ourselves from the perspective of our truth so we can begin to be teachers of God in the highest sense and ambassadors of peace on His behalf. When we remember all this about ourselves, we are able to be of the greatest good to God.  Then can we truly fly on wings of glory, holy, whole and healed.

“The truly helpful are invulnerable, because they are not protecting their egos and so nothing can hurt them. Their helpfulness is their praise of God …” A Course In Miracles

One of our greatest gifts is our ability to help one another. Being helpful keeps us in a state of grace. It blesses us as it blesses those we help.  When we are being helpful we are not distracted by our fears because we have set them aside in favor of something greater.

When we are serving others we are serving God in the highest way. And we are no longer concerned with what we get or don’t get from our willingness to serve. It’s impossible to serve God and be a victim at the same time. 

Our service can be as simple as smiling at a stranger or as global as promoting peace in the world. It all comes from a loving heart and it is what is in our heart that makes the difference. Being helpful radiates kindness and loving energy into our lives, throughout our communities and into the world. Helpfulness heals hearts. Ours and others.

Sometimes we think we’re being helpful, but unless we’re asking God for guidance in this, we may be doing more harm than good.  God needs to guide us in all we do and say for it to be truly loving and free from ego’s interference. The distinction can be subtle so we must be watchful in this. 

”I will step back and let Him lead the way.” A Course In Miracles Let us be still and let God lead the way. With God’s Love lighting the way, our helpful intentions will allow miracles of healing to shine everywhere.

“Today I will celebrate myself and everyone I meet.”

Imagine if every time we walked into a group of people we would see glad looks of welcome and wide smiles of appreciation. And then imagine us doing the same for everyone else. How would this world be different?

What if normal is a warmth of love flowing to us from everyone we encounter and through us to everyone we meet?  What if we see each stranger as beloved family and we bring joy to each other’s hearts by just existing?

As children of a Loving God, we must believe this is the way it should be.  From this moment on let us practice celebrating each other and everyone we meet with a friendly smile and a kind thought. And then let’s celebrate our own selves as well. There will be no need to ever defend or protect ourselves because wherever we are, we are always safe. Wherever we go we are always loved and seen as something beautiful, a walking, talking miracle of wonder and delight; a joyous cause for celebration.

“Who would attempt to fly with the tiny wings of a sparrow when the mighty power of an eagle has been given him?” A Course In Miracles

“Today I will willingly question my identity and my real purpose here.”

We must start with one tiny step in God’s direction, then another and another, just as a toddler learns to walk. We have convinced ourselves that believing in our holiness and our greatness is egotistical when exactly the opposite is true. Believing in our holiness really means that we believe in God.

It is egotistical to tell ourselves that we are something less than God’s creation. Then we are saying that we know more about ourselves than God does.  How can we know more than our Creator about His creation?  We have made ourselves small through our thinking.  The first step is to ask Him for help in letting go of our tiny beliefs so we can begin to get a glimmer of who we are through His eyes.

Each small step in His direction, lifting our faces to the Light, taking His hand and asking Him for help in letting go of our limited preconceived notions, will bring us closer to our truth. The greatest prayer on earth is “Help me.” This is what it means to surrender. This is true forgiveness; true forgiveness of ourselves and for the world.

One small step, one tiny entreaty, one crack in the armor, one question in our minds can open the floodgate to true Love.  And the question is this; Who am I, really? The sparrow or the eagle?  Let us decide with God today.

Let’s soften our mouths into a smile.
And trust in God instead of fear.
Turn around.

The world is only real to the extent that we believe in it.  
That’s how powerful are the Children of God.

Rest now in the holiness of God.
A mother, father and a child hold each other and smile in the safety of God’s protection
And all is well.

Rest now in the blessedness of holy joining.
A neighborhood celebrates each other by sharing laughter and platefuls of brotherly love
And all is well.

Rest now in the company of Angels.
Sunlight glistens on the windows of a holy gathering place where God’s children come to pray
And all is well.

Rest now in the light of understanding.
Light dawns upon a world where everyone offers and accepts only gifts of kindness and compassion
And all is well.

Rest now knowing fear is over.
Each mouth smiles gently, all eyes are turned inward and every mind is calm and quiet
And all is well.

Rest now knowing love and joy are all there is.
Laughter rings out and song bursts forth from all living creatures as joy dances lightly in each heart

“Be still a moment, and in silence think how holy is your purpose, how secure your rest, untouchable in its light. That moment will be enough.” A Course In Miracles

 “God, let me see Your world in this moment.”

For just a moment, let us accept that on our own, we cannot fix anything here. But then accept, for a moment, that the strength of God in us solves everything. 

Surely for a moment, we can trust Him and His glorious power so far above our tiny self that lifts us up and causes us to soar with Angels. For an instant, we can trust in Him and with a calm and quiet mind and forgiveness in our heart grow still and see God’s will instead of ours. It is here and is as near as our decision to let go of what causes pain to ourselves and others. It is as near as our choice to see our light and choose God’s laws instead of ours. It is as near as our understanding that we know nothing and only God knows all.

For just a moment let’s allow ourselves to be free of all our cares and watch in silence as God’s light fills us and everyone and everything we see. Smile and breathe and say Thank You, knowing that no matter how it looks and feels, only God is real. God is always here. And God’s will is only the same as our true will. As we allow ourselves to be open to God’s blessing, we will experience the Love that causes happiness, health, safety and joyous abundance. 

There is no sadness in God.

There is no fear in God.  

There is no anger in God.

There is no sickness in God.

There is no scarcity in God

There is no danger in God.

Surely, we can make the effort to believe this for just a moment.

There are only gifts of Love beyond our comprehension. Gifts we can only receive by our willingness to trust in Him. Gifts we can only keep by our willingness to share them with others. Gifts that are constantly streaming through our consciousness whether we are aware of them or not.

Now in this moment our furrowed brow is clear. Now our heart is calm. Now feelings of serenity and relief fill us for we know at last it’s over. All fear has disappeared and there is nothing left but joyous wonder and the peace and love of God for all. We have awaken from the dream.

For just a moment, let’s trust that this is true. And then another moment, and another until at last we see that it extends into always and forever.

“I will accept my miracles today.”

I am entitled to miracles, large and small, that color my world and make me smile. 

I am entitled to everything I need. Even when I don’t know exactly what that is, there is a living, breathing Life inside me that knows for me. 

I am entitled to perfect health; health of mind and body and spirit.

I am entitled to perfect safety even when the world feels unsafe.

I am entitled to happiness, the kind that never changes and never leaves.

I am entitled to unlimited abundance that is shared by all.  

I am entitled to joy that lights my eyes, lifts my heart and brings me peace.

I am entitled to a calm and quiet state of mind that lives sanely within me even when the world looks insane.

I am entitled to love,        

relationship love    family love   friendship love

And the other Love that comes from deep within my soul and is my gift from a Source that is greater than me.  

I will see all this as soon as I remember, believe and trust in the holiness within me.

Who would attempt to fly with the tiny wings of a sparrow when the mighty power of an eagle has been given him? And who would place his faith in the shabby offerings of the ego when the gifts of God are laid before him?” A Course In Miracles

“I will allow myself to trust today.”

Somewhere along the line we got off track.  When did we decide that self deprecation was a positive and endearing trait?  That quiet confidence, the kind that flows from us naturally and needs no words, was egocentric? You know the tired saying, “He/She is so full of themselves.” When did humility become mistaken for self debasement? And being confident become a negative? Not ego’s grandiose postering, but the quiet certainty that we are God’s perfect creations, just as He tells us. 

Let’s pay attention to how often, in a day or an hour, we put ourselves down with negative judgments that we believe are simple modesty.

To believe that humility is synonymous with self insulting thoughts is to say that we are not the way God created us. And if we truly believe this, we are saying that we know ourselves better than God does. It’s as though we need to protect ourselves and each other from our own Holiness.  How can that make sense?

“God’s will for us is perfect happiness.” A Course In Miracles. Let’s share God’s will for happiness for us.

Let’s look at all the thoughts that stream through our minds and often come out of our mouths that build around us a wall of insecurity and low self esteem. And how often do we project our fears upon others needing to bring them down with us? Depression is caused by feelings of unworthiness. Anxiety and worry are made from fear of an uncertain future. How can the all powerful Children of a Perfect God ever think that they are victims of an unstable and unpredictable world?  To our untrained eye, it may look that way much of the time.  But what if we understood that the world only looks the way our minds tell us it looks?  What if we could turn our thinking around. If our negative thoughts are causing a negative world, what would happen if we joined our thoughts with God?  Think of the immense possibilities.

A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION

“In quiet I receive God’s Word today.” A Course In Miracles

“Today I will choose to listen.”

We could all do with a little less conversation, a little more loving thoughts. We spend way too much time talking about our problems , evaluating our relationships, deciding who is right and who is wrong and feeling defensive, judgmental and generally unhappy and dissatisfied with our lot in life.  It’s as though we believe our experiences have nothing to do with our decisions and our choices, but are foisted upon us by an unfriendly fate. And having decided this, we then talk about it incessantly.

It’s time to stop hashing and rehashing and change our mind, not only about others, but first and foremost about ourselves. It’s time to let go of unhappy thoughts and exchange them for some loving thoughts. For every unhappy thought, unkind act, or judgmental word, there is an equivalent loving thought, act or word. We just need to be quiet a moment and allow them in.  In stillness we can hear God’s voice gently reminding us again and again, “A little less conversation, a little more listening please. “
